I cannot fault such a union because we live in a democracy and the ANC has also entered into alliances with the SACP and Cosatu.

The disconcerting factor, though, is how will they harmonise their differing policies into a viable one that will work to improve the country?

The reality is that most people are poor and have waited for basic services since 1994.

It is imperative that these parties engage in dialogue to eliminate poverty and fight crime and corruption and, most importantly, ensure that services are delivered .
