CHASKA - South Africa's Trevor Immelman, the 2008 Masters champion, withdrew from the PGA Championship on Tuesday, citing a wrist injury.
Immelman's best finishes this season have been a share of 19th at Tampa and a share of 20th in attempting to defend his Masters crown at Augusta National Golf Club. He has not made a cut in three months.
Immelman missed the cut at last year's PGA Championship after sharing sixth in the 2007 championship, his best major showing outside of Augusta.
