LOCAL councillor Miriam Ramafola told Sowetan that Emily came to her seeking assistance with the sale of the house.

LOCAL councillor Miriam Ramafola told Sowetan that Emily came to her seeking assistance with the sale of the house.

"Emily said they had sold the house but that the owner was now refusing to proceed with the sale," Ramafola said.

"In a meeting with all the parties, Emily admitted that she owed someone money in Venda, so she sold the house without Khavhatondwi's knowledge."

"She promised to pay Sithole the R6000 and the rent arrears on the house. That was our last agreement."

After the two parties brought lawyers into the matter, Ramafola was no longer part of the process.

Themba Ndlovu, who runs a construction company in Soweto, said the wall and concrete slab built by Sithole were of poor quality and could both be estimated at a cost of R18000.
