Heric happy with Leopards contract

VLADISLAV Heric describes his new two-year contract with Black Leopards as one of the best after the two parties reached an agreement on Tuesday evening.

VLADISLAV Heric describes his new two-year contract with Black Leopards as one of the best after the two parties reached an agreement on Tuesday evening.

Heric fell out with Leopards at the end of last season when his contract was not renewed.

He joined Leopards' neighboursWinnerspark, where he stayed for only six weeks after he disagreed with some contractual stipulations.

But Leopards came calling once again and Heric welcomed a return to the Thohoyandou-based club.

Heric said the new contract is better than last season's contract.

"We have ironed out our differences and agreed on the new contract. I will do all that is possible to ensure that I fulfil the management's goal of returning to the elite league next season," the widely travelled coach said yesterday.

"The only thing I can promise the people of Limpopo is that Leopards will return to the Premiership soon.

"As from today I will concentrate on fine-tuning the club to get the boys ready for our opening match next weekend.

"I am confident that the boys will be equal to the task, considering that we have a strong technical team with Joel Masutha asmy assistant," he said.

Leopards' newly promoted general manager Sam Khaphathe said they appreciated Heric's decision to return to the club.

"We gave him only one mandate, to return the club to the Premiership. We believe that we cannot stay for more seasons in this division, we want to return to where we belong, that is the Premiership.

"We have confidence that Heric will assist us to make our dream come true," Khaphathe said.
