Good news for De Burgh fans

FANS of Chris de Burgh will be delighted to know that the singer will give an additional performance at Carnival City when he tours South Africa in November.

FANS of Chris de Burgh will be delighted to know that the singer will give an additional performance at Carnival City when he tours South Africa in November.

The popular Irish singer was originally scheduled to give only one performance at the Ekuhurleni venue, but now he will give two.

"Ticket demand has been exceptional and, as a consequence, another concert will be held on November 15 at the Big Top Arena, Carnival City Casino & Entertainment World," said the organisers.

De Burgh, pictured, has done more than 3000 concerts worldwide since 1975.

He will perform in Johannesburg on Saturday, November 14, in Carnival City on Sunday, November 15, at the ICC in Durban on Tuesday, November 17, and at Kirstenbosch Gardens in Cape Town on Thursday, November 19.

Few artists can lay claim to international success spanning three decades, but beginning with his very first release, De Burgh has achieved precisely that.

From the release in 1975 of his debut album, Far Beyond These Castle Walls, to his present South African hit album, Footsteps, De Burgh has achieved the absolute pinnacle that every artist dreams of, consistently garnering fans from all walks of life right across the globe.
