Mnisi forced to sell Aces

LOLO Selamolela's failure to settle the outstanding balance of R41800 owed to Sinkie Mnisi for Modimolle Aces has forced Mnisi to sell his club.

LOLO Selamolela's failure to settle the outstanding balance of R41800 owed to Sinkie Mnisi for Modimolle Aces has forced Mnisi to sell his club.

Mnisi sold the club to him for R300000 two years ago, of which Selamolela paid R258200 and promised to settle the balance by the end of last season. But he failed to fulfil his promise.

"I had enough of Selamolela's stories because according to our contract he was supposed to have paid me by the end of July. He kept on promising to pay me. At one stage when he was to supposed to pay me he claimed to be ill and therefore could not deposit the money," Mnisi said yesterday.

"At this time anyone who is willing to give me the balance can take the club for good.

"He told you (Sowetan) that he will make arrangements to pay me on a Friday but that was a blatant lie," he fumed.

But Selamolela told Sowetan yesterday: "I am surprised to hear that Mnisi is selling the club because he never served me with any notice after the contract lapsed in July.

"I am prepared to do all that is possible to stop him from selling the club."
