A POLICE officer has admitted that there could be errors in recordings of evidence but dismisses knowing anything about the alleged torture of murder accused Mulalo Sivhidzo.
Sivhidzho is accused of murdering Avhatakali Netshisaulu, her husband and son of former City Press editor-in-chief Mathatha Tsedu in 2006.
Superintendent Primrose Ngcobo, who has been under cross examination for three days, is the main state witness in a trial-within-a-trial currently under way to determine whether Sivhidzho made a statement to the police of her own free will.
Sivhidzo, through her defence counsel Advocate Anneline Roestorf, claims to have been tortured and forced to make a statement incriminating herself.
Cross examining Ngcobo yesterday, Roestorf pointed out contradictions in the time entries of events recorded by the police when Sivhidzho was arrested.
Ngcobo replied: "Sometimes the people who do the time entries do not do it there and then, so there could be some minor mistakes".
