The Katlehong-based karateka successfully defended her two titles in the under-65kg and open weight divisions in a thrilling national karate tournament in Port Elizabeth at the weekend.
Lesiba outsmarted Nomawethu Tywaleli from Eastern Cape in the final of both categories at the national tournament.
She also went on to win the hearts of the enthusiastic crowd with the "best-spirited fighter" award following her exceptional showing throughout the tournament.
Her lethal executions in mae geri (stomach kicks) followed by mawashe geri (round-house kicks to the face) were too strong for her opponent.
The skilful Lesiba is part of the nine-member squad of seven men and two women that was selected to represent the country in the tournament in Hungary.
"I am happy to have successfully retained both titles and I am now looking forward to earning silverware in the world tournament in Europe," she said.
Collen "Cox" Sedoaba, the SA Kyokushinkan branch chief, said yesterday the competition was of a very high standard.
More than four knockouts were registered in the men's section.
He said that the organisation was growing in leaps and bounds after KwaZulu-Natal, North West and Free State regions joined Kyokushinkan SA.

Under-80kg: Simphiwe Dlulane (EC); Lwazi Kama (EC); Siyabonga Rwaqa (Gauteng).
