Heric to rejoin Leopards

BLACK Leopards continue to set records as far as the hiring and firing of coaches is concerned.

BLACK Leopards continue to set records as far as the hiring and firing of coaches is concerned.

A month after failing to renew Vladislav Heric's contract the club is now courting the Serbian mentor. Heric helped the team to avoid relegation last season but surprisingly the club refused to retain him and his assistant Joel Masutha when their contracts expired at the end of the season.

The affable Masutha returned to Leopards enclosure at the weekend after signing a two-season contract. Heric is expected to clinch a deal with the Far North club today.

"Yes, we are talking and chances are that I can rejoin them. We are likely to reach an agreement tomorrow (today)," said the former Bay United and City Pillars mentor.

Heric and Masutha were the fourth coaches to be shown the door by Leopards in two months.

Two weeks ago they made headlines when they dismissed coach Mario Marinica less than a month after hiring the Romanian.
