The movement, which claims to represent 26million unemployed people in the country, made headlines last month when they wreaked havoc and looted shops in the city centre.
Today thousands of its members will marching to the court to support their leader, Nozipho Mteshana, who was arrested by police after the looting. They warned that they would bring the city to a complete standstill.
Chairperson of the Inanda branch Zakithi Chiya said they would be protesting to support Mteshana, but at the same time to show the government that they were not budging on their demand for a basic income grant of R1500.
