End of road for Abigail

IT IS the end of the road for Scandal's scrimpy and rich bitch Abigail Rodriguez-Martins as death awaits her.

IT IS the end of the road for Scandal's scrimpy and rich bitch Abigail Rodriguez-Martins as death awaits her.

Her life will end painfully in flames when her car explodes. The storyline will end speculation on how her role will end as she is leaving the soapie.

Rodriguez-Martins, whose real name is Michelle Maxwell, told Sowetan her last shooting was on June 9. The soapie's producers told Abigail that there were no more storylines for her.

"Producers told me that they wanted to make Tino's character bigger, and that won't happen if Abigail is still alive. Coincidentally, I was going to leave the soapie at the end of the year to focus on my music and poetry career."

Boasting 35 years of experience in performing arts, Maxwell admitted that the Abigail character was challenging.

"It was a difficult character to play. I like Abigail because she is a very strong woman. I enjoyed playing her. But, some of the things she did sent shivers down my spine."

Maxwell said she was looking forward to watching her own death on August 13.

"I find this one hilarious and very interesting. I was in the same situation a few years ago when I played the role of a woman who had cancer. In the story the woman died on screen. It was touching."

After making many people's lives hell, Abigail's end is nigh. Two months ago she abducted Daniel Nyathi's son Mangi. She forced him to take drugs and he ended up being an addict.

Nyathi (Sello Maake ka Ncube) has been Rodriguez-Martins' long-standing business rival - and her demise will make him a happy man.
