Repairs cost council R9m

THE KwaDukuza municipality has spent R8,6million in repair work on infrastructure damaged during the February floods that wreaked havoc in the area.

Bridges collapsed, roads were damaged and several people lost their lives during the heavy floods. The rebuilding initiative excludes that of homes washed away, said the municipality's mayor Thulani Khuluse during the launch of the Service Delivery Month Initiative yesterday. - Canaan Mdletshe
