IF you thought that all the fun on Women's Day would be confined to Johannesburg, then think again.

IF you thought that all the fun on Women's Day would be confined to Johannesburg, then think again.

Women's Day Music Session, which is likely to be a hit with all the ladies, takes place at Morula Hotel and Casino in GaRankuwa near Pretoria on August 9. The show kicks off at 10am so forget about cooking and cleaning and come early to enjoy your very special day.

Set to dazzle the sisters on Women's Day are Chomee, Kelly Khumalo, Judith Sephuma, Letang, Ladies In Jazz, Ntsikwane and Winnie Mashaba.

So make sure you are there early if you want to be part of the women who are celebrating those special women who made history when they marched to protest against the demeaning dompas. Those gallant women, all 20000 of them, decided to march to the Union Buildings in Pretoria in 1956 because the Nationalist government was going to force black women to carry a pass. The march was part of the anti-pass campaign against a dehumanising system called apartheid

Tickets will cost you R160 at Computicket or at Shoprite Checkers outlets.
