Motorist claims he got bumpy ride from firm over repairs to his car

A LIMPOPO man has accused Hi-Q, a car maintenance company, of doing shoddy work after he took his car for wheel alignment recently.

A LIMPOPO man has accused Hi-Q, a car maintenance company, of doing shoddy work after he took his car for wheel alignment recently.

The car had already been involved in three road accidents and the owner has accused the garage of being negligent.

Sunday Mashaphu, of Bokhuta village in Bolobedu, claimed the garage manager told him that he was "crazy" because he was supposed to have checked the car and bring it back shortly after realising the problem.

He accused the technicians of negligence after they allegedly only spent 10 minutes on his vehicle and told him to drive off.

Mashaphu said he lodged complaints with the management but to no avail. He said he had paid R645 each time for wheel alignment when he went to seek assistance.

Jeurges van Heerden, the manager of the company, said he only advised Mashaphu to replace the tyres as they were worn out "and the wheel alignment will not be 100 percent".
