EACH year, about 35000 people around the world die from the bites of poisonous snakes, and more than half of them are in India. However, the country that suffers most from poisonous snakes is Burma. Out of a population of 3,3million, about 5000 people in Burma die from snakebite each year. That's an average of 150 deaths for each 1million persons.
