Most horned toads are between 7,5cm and 15cm long and have sharp hornlike spikes on their head.

When one of these reptiles is frightened its eyes puff up until they bulge out of his head. Then a fine jet of blood squirts from blood vessels in the corners of the lizard's eyes. The squirt might travel up to 12,5cm. -
