And Ndou would prefer to face"The Angel" in a unification bout.
"He deserves a break more than anyone I have known. I admire his willingness to travel abroad - few fighters are prepared to do that," said Ndou from Musina, who is based in Sydney, Australia.
"I find Isaac a very humble and God-fearing man. I respect him for that but I want to fight him in a unification bout, should he win against Delvin.
"I know that our fight will be huge in South Africa."
Two weeks ago The Angel's trainer Nick Durandt said that - with the fight against Rodriguez in the US seemingly a formality - they would accommodate Ndou next because he would be easy meat.
But Ndou is worried that they are getting ahead of themselves.
That is not because Ndou rates Rodriguez highly but it is simply because "Hlatshwayo is a one-dimensional fighter".
"Durandt is talking (through his) poop-hole instead of his mouth. I don't think this motormouth trainer is doing much to help elevate Hlatshwayo's fight game to another level," said Ndou, a former IBF champion.
"If Delvin wins, still, my promoter Rodney Berman will be prepared to put that fight on. It will be an honour to add another IBF belt to my collection."
Three weeks ago Ndou outclassed Phillip "Time Bomb" Ndou (no relation) over 12 rounds to win the IBO belt. That was Lovemore's first fight back here since he relocated to Australia 14 years ago.
Meanwhile, Simphiwe "V12" Vetyeka, who won the IBO bantamweight strap before the clash of the Ndous, has vacated the South African belt.
Former holder Nkqubela Gwazela and Klaas Mboyane will fight for the belt at the famed Orient Theatre in East London on Sunday.
