NATIONAL First Division Inland Stream side Witbank Spurs have ended weeks of speculation about their new coach by naming former players Bonga Mofokeng and Tshepo Ntia as co-coaches.

They will replace former national Under-23 team coach Kenny Ndlazi, who joined the eMalahleni club late last season but quit at the end of the season.

Mofokeng, who was part of the successful 1993 Witbank Black Aces team (as Spurs were then known), was excited about his new role.

"The team has been struggling in the past two seasons and this season we are looking at not having to fight relegation," said the coach.

Ntia played for Spurs for the past six seasons but hung up his boots to take up his new post.

Meanwhile, Spurs spokesperson George Khumalo said they had decided not to renew the loan deal of Orlando Pirates midfielder Tebogo Mashaba.
