FORMER national police commissioner Jackie Selebi has declined to say much about Bheki Cele, the man replacing him.

"I have nothing to do with his appointment," Selebi sais yesterday. "I have no feelings whatsoever. I wish him luck, that is all I can say."

But he told Sowetan that losing his job was taking its toll on him emotionally.

"Children go to school and come back and find you sitting at home and they ask 'when is this going to end?'

"In a sense it has taken some toll.

"I have reflected on everything that I have done in the past two years since I was placed on special leave."

Selebi said he really enjoyed working with people.

"There is nothing that replaces working together with all the people that are there and to draw as much as you can from people working with you," Selebi said.
