Popularly known as the Tribute To SA Music Heroes Concert 2009, the music event in Mamelodi honours music icons, including those who are seldom recognised.

Proudly entering its second decade at 12 years this year, the highly anticipated concert loved by music lovers across the spectrum will not disappoint with its line-up.

It boasts music icons such as Caiphus Semenya, Mathapelo, Lira, Dr Malombo, Thandiswa Mazwai, Lucky Dube's Band, The Jaziel Brothers, Suthukazi, Rhythmic Elements, Ringo Madlingozi, Freshlyground, Tsepo Tshola, Tu Nokwe and Malaika.

The Tribute Concert series was launched at the Orlando Stadium in Soweto to honour icons of the musical arts. Previous honoraries include Hugh Masekela, Miriam Makeba, Caiphus Semenya, Letta Mbulu, Abdullah Ibrahim and Jonas Gwangwa.

Tickets are available at Computicket and Shoprite Checkers. No tickets will be on sale at the gates, which open at 9am.
