We differ with those who think their decision was unreasonable. Playing two matches within hours is taxing, even potentially fatal for players early in the season.

The Charity Cup is more than just about trying out new combinations and helping players get much-needed match practice.

It is about the millions who support football ensuring that they contribute to making the life of someone somewhere a little more bearable.

Though supporters of one of the three clubs will leave the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace happier than the rest, the South African football family will have scored an important goal towards instilling a social consciousness in all who love the game.
