PLEASE HELP ME TO GO AND STUDY IN THE UK

MY NAME is Noxolo Mthethwa. I live in Dobsonville, Soweto, and have been accepted to study for a BA Honours in Accounting and Finance at the University of Glamorgan in the UK.

MY NAME is Noxolo Mthethwa. I live in Dobsonville, Soweto, and have been accepted to study for a BA Honours in Accounting and Finance at the University of Glamorgan in the UK.

While I have been awarded a partial tuition scholarship of £1500 (about R19237) a year, the tuition fee is £7750 (about R99369) a year and I am expected to pay a deposit of £3875 (about R49685) before the course starts on September 21.

I also expect to pay about £5295 (about R67923) towards living expenses a year, which includes accommodation.

This is a rare opportunity and I would hate to miss it. I could not get financial assistance from other institutions in the UK because I am not a UK resident or citizen.

My parents taught me that I am so much more than my circumstances and it is unfortunate that they cannot financially contribute to my studies as they have, and continue to do, to my personality, confidence, assertiveness and focus.

I want to follow a career in chartered accountancy since accounting is a key function in most organisations and accountants are called on to provide advice on a broad spectrum of financial and organisational issues. So a career in finance equals flexibility and diversity.

A key element of this course is the optional supervised work experience during the second and third year of study, from which I expect to gain practical work experience that will contribute to my employability.

I am a purpose- and result-driven young South African patriot, with a great need to achieve, truly possessing a high level of personal integrity and a broad sense of vision, sincere care and concern for others.

I always like to have an influence on the community and achieve against all odds. Given the chance I will be the most productive beneficiary and my benefactors will not regret their decision to help me.

I assure them that I will be a positive investment both to them and my beloved country. Wherever I go, I will be a true South African ambassador.
