THE Transnet School of Excellence will hold trials at the weekend to get their talent identification process for 2010 in motion.

THE Transnet School of Excellence will hold trials at the weekend to get their talent identification process for 2010 in motion.

Head coach Sheryl Botes said 2000 boys were expected to try out for a place at the prestigious school, where a squad of 50 will be chosen.

"These 50 will be brought into camp during the September holidays for a final assessment. Only 20 will be admitted to the school next year," Botes said.

Botes said only boys who were born in 1996 and are now in Grade 7 will be considered. The trials will be held at the school;s premises at 4 Sirkel Road, Elandsfontein, Johannesburg, from 8am to 6pm. Contact Botes on 079-459-3000. - Linda Moreotsene
