Vukuza's trainer, Welsh Mnguni, declared yesterday that the champion, Manelisi "Hitman" Mbilase, will fall this time. Vukuza and Mbilase are set to slug it out for the SA junior featherweight title over 12 rounds.
Like many others at the ringside in Carletonville where Vukuza lost by a highly controversial split decision in their clash last October, Mnguni is still puzzled by that verdict.
"There is no way we are letting this fight go the scheduled 12 rounds this time," warned a determined Mnguni.
"We don't want to suffer the same dubious decision again."
In that fight, judges Nick Hotze and Wally Snowball voted for Mbilase, while Joseph Chaane scored in favour of Vukuza.
Vukuza outclassed Mbilase and even dropped him in rounds 10 and 12.
It was such a disgraceful verdict that Mbilase's trainer, Nick Durandt, denounced it live on national television.
Mbilase is from Mdantsane in the Eastern Cape, while Vukuza comes from neighbouring Duncan Village.
Boxing SA's acting chief executive Loyiso Mtya said Allan Matakane would be the referee, while Simphiwe Mbini and Andile Matika would be two of the judges.
The fight will be beamed live on Blow by Blow at 10pm.
The main supporting bout is for the vacant Eastern Cape provincial mini flyweight belt between Siviwe Ntsiko and Lwandile Sityata.
