Gallery head up for theft

ABUJA - Nigeria's anti-corruption police have charged the head of the National Gallery of Art and four others with misappropriating more than R53,3million in public funds, a spokesperson said yesterday.

The five officials were charged with stealing funds from the gallery for the past three years, the Economic and financial crimes commission said. Chief Joe Musa, the head of the gallery, has pleaded not guilty. - Reuters
