Detective Inspector Andrew Rapeta, 48, went missing on July 2 on his way home from work.
"Sapu is concerned about this issue as it reminds us at this time about another police member, Constable Francis Rasuge, who went missing some years ago," the union said.
Rapeta was last seen leaving his workplace about 7pm but never reached his home.
His car was found abandoned two days later. - Sapa
