PARIS - Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt has got neutrals expecting the best World Athletics Championships in Berlin next month.

Beijing Olympic 100m, 200m and 4x100m gold medalist Bolt will come up against arch-rival Tyson Gay, the American who scored gold in the same three events in Osaka in 2007.

The August 13-20 world champs in the Germany will be their second meeting of the year.

Gay has set the fastest times over both the 100 and 200m this season while Bolt has the best of 19.59sec for the 200m set earlier this month and a 9.79sec over the shorter distance.

On July 25 Bolt will come up against Gay in what will become a rehearsal for the Berlin showdown. - Sapa-AFP
