Top-seeded Premiership outfit Ajax Cape Town will start the defence of the Mangaung Tournament crown against Absa Premiership newcomers Mpumalanga Black Aces.

They were drawn to clash in the first semifinal of the third edition of this one-day competition held annually.

The hosts, Bloemfontein Celtic, face first-time winners Moroka Swallows in the second semi-final.

The draw was conducted last Friday in Bloemfontein.

This year's event will be staged at the revamped Botshabelo Stadium on Sunday.

It is expected that the teams taking part will also parade the players they have signed for the new Absa Premiership season.

Phunya Selesele are yet to win this competition to be on par with rivals, Dube Birds and Urban Warriors, who have won it once each.

Swallows scooped the first edition in 2007 after hammering Celtic 3-0. Ajax won last year's edition when they overcame SuperSport United 2-1.

Tickets for the tournament are available at Shoprite supermarkets and Computicket at R20 for adults and R10 for children.
