'We will arrest these killers'

KWAZULU-NATAL MEC for transport, community safety and liaison Bheki Cele has assured residents of Umsinga in the Midlands that police will not rest until they have arrested the killers who gunned down six people execution-style on Friday.

Cele confirmed yesterday that a task team comprising members of Pietermaritzburg's organised crime unit had been assembled to probe the killings.

Thengakuhle Mbatha, Senzo Mbatha, Mandlawapheli Mbatha, Thembiso Mbatha, Mabele Mbatha and Bongani Sokhela were killed after being awoken at around midnight, taken outdoors and shot.
