Usuthu look to increase lead in Charity Cup vote

IT NOW appears that the only team to preclude AmaZulu from playing the Telkom Charity Cup will be Usuthu themselves.

IT NOW appears that the only team to preclude AmaZulu from playing the Telkom Charity Cup will be Usuthu themselves.

The KwaZulu-Natal club were still comfortably leading the voting charts after gaining 34221 votes by late last night.

The top six standings remained unchanged as Mamelodi Sundowns were still in second place with 19944, followed by Orlando Pirates with 16117 and Kaizer Chiefs with 14815 votes.

Mpumalanga Black Aces were still hanging onto fifth spot with 5418 and Bloemfontein Celtic have managed only a disappointing 3071. Bad news for the teams competing with AmaZulu in this one-day, four-team event at Ellis Park on August 1 is that Usuthu's management have promised to augment their voting campaign. - Mcelwa Nchabeleng
