The WICB has pledged its "unswerving commitment and support" to all the players that have indicated they were available for the current Test.

But the WICB has warned that should the protesting players fail to meet Wednesday's deadline, they will not be considered for selection to the side for the ICC Champions Trophy in September. It is the WICB's strongest stance in a long-running feud with the West Indies Players Association.

"The WICB is requesting of you that you write to us to apologise for the embarrassment you caused West Indies cricket, the financial consequences involved, and indicating your interests and availability," it stated in a letter. - Sapa-AFP
