AS PART of his outreach programme, Limpopo premier Cassel Mathale will lead his executive council "to meet the people" in an endeavour to accelerate service delivery.

The visit comes after Mathale's state of the province address in which he outlined the province's service delivery plan for the next five years.

Mathale will begin his visit at Muyexe village in Giyani in the Mopani district next Friday. The village was selected by President Jacob Zuma as an area to which the government would provide resources for rural development.

Government spokesperson Mohale Nchabeleng said Mathale would speak to villagers about phase 2 of the Extended Public Works Programme, poised to create about 26000 jobs in Limpopo.

Mathale will visit the Capricorn district on July 29, the Vhembe district on August 21, Sekhukhune in Mankele on September 25 and Bela Bela in the Waterberg district on October 23.

Nchabeleng said this would offer the people of Limpopo a unique platform to interact with their MECs.

"We will ask Mathale to fund our [farming] projects [in Mopani] so that we can better fight unemployment and poverty," said James Mohale of Soek-Mekaar.
