THE DA has tabled a motion in Parliament to debate the findings of an auditor-general report that has revealed how civil servants defrauded the government of millions of rands.

The DA call comes after revelation in Parliament that no action had been taken against public officials who were conducting business with government without the necessary official approval.

The report detailed how civil servants rigged tenders for their personal benefit or for the benefit of friends and relatives to the tune of R610million.

" This must be dealt with if President Jacob Zuma is to fulfil his promise to the nation of running a clean administration by rooting out corruption at all levels," the DA's Anchen Dreyer said yesterday.
