Xoliswa Falati, the woman who was convicted with Winnie Madikizela-Mandela for the murder of child activist Stompie Seipei, is dead.

The case involved seven other youths who were members of the Mandela Football Club.

Falati made headlines when after serving two years in jail, she turned against Madikizela-Mandela while testifying before the Truth and Reconciliation Commission in 1997.

Her son Mzamo Falati, 29, said his mother was admitted to hospital on Monday after complaining about feeling cold.

Her co-accused Jerry Richardson died in prison two months ago. He was serving a life sentence for Seipei's murder.
