MEMBERS of Parliament's Standing Committee on Public Accounts had harsh words for government officials yesterday, accusing them of arrogance and giving "clumsy" answers to questions on a report by the Auditor-General.

Scopa had been questioning directors-general from provinces and national departments on the report, released in August last year, on entities linked to state employees doing business with national departments.
