FORMER Generations actress and dancer Zukisa Matola is expecting a little bunny.

Matola, who played Bridget, the conniving wife of businessman Dumisane Shabane in Generations, has confirmed to Sowetan that she and uMhlobo Wenene DJ Phumzile Zonke are expecting their first child.

The love birds' baby girl is due in October.

The couple have been dating for about a year now.

Zonke, who got married in 2002 and divorced a year later after a bumpy marriage, said he was excited to be a father for the first time.

"I am excited. This is the best thing that has ever happened in my life. I am happy to have a baby with a woman I love. She is going to make a good mother."

Matola said she could not elaborate further about her pregnancy until Zonke had paid for the damages.

"I am excited to be a mom but I cannot elaborate until Phumzile's family has met mine in order to pay for damages," she said.

Matola quit Generations in June last year amid rumours that she was unhappy.

The Eastern Cape-born actor has also starred in Tsha Tsha and Tshisa.
