Kicks put up the "for sale" sign after failing to win promotion to the Absa Premiership despite having two bites at the cherry in the First Division playoffs in May.
The winners of the Coastal Stream first lost out to Inland Stream winners Jomo Cosmos, before being bundled out by eventual winners Mpumalanga Black Aces in the second round of playoffs.
"It's a bit frustrating because we were hoping that the team would by now no longer be in our hands," said Motebang Mokoena, the owner.
"There was an interest from Limpopo just before the close of the 2008-2009 soccer season, but we have not heard anything from them again.
"The price is negotiable. We are not desperate to sell but decided to go that route after we were approached by several people in Limpopo, Northern Cape and Gauteng. I will have no choice but consider starting with preparations for the new season if we do not get a buyer by next week."
Asked specifically about the interest from Northern Cape, where there is not even a single semi-professional club, Mokoena said: "There was serious interest from there too, but they promised to get back to us.
"We have players and technical staff employed by the club. The plan was to hand everything over to the new owners before the start of the 2009-2010 soccer season to start with the preparations.
"That would have also enabled the new owners to get new players."
Mokoena refused to discuss the price for Kicks, but it is reported to be around R15million.
