"It seems another child was found alive early in the morning. We have no other details because we have not seen him," said a doctor who spoke on condition of anonymity.
He said the survivor might still be with rescuers at sea.
A 13-year-old girl is so far the only survivor of the 153 people aboard the Yemenia airliner that plunged into the sea as it came in to land at Moroni airport early on Tuesday.
