OUR culture is at stake because irresponsible people are abusing the circumcision rites of our brothers who want to change from being boys to men.

This disgrace has been going on and on and nothing has been done though people are losing their lives. The amakhosi are doing nothing to prevent the situation.

The Xhosa nation should swallow its pride and ask its neighbours, the AmaHlubi and Basotho, how to protect their culture . This problem makes headlines every winter and in December because the media knows that a life will be lost.

We need to bring back the value of ubudoda and its dignity so that the nation can respect our culture once again.
