This is according to Sepp Blatter, the Fifa president, who is happy that Bafana Bafana are well on track with their preparations for the 2010 World Cup.
Blatter said: "Bafana Bafana have improved from the first game to the last one. They have good individual qualities.
"They are brilliant, run very well, though not so tall. They have to improve their attack, [though] they have proven they can score goals as we all witnessed in the third-place playoff match against Spain."
Blatter also described the second goal scored by Katlego Mphela in Bafana's 3-2 playoff loss to Spain in Rustenburg on Sunday as "wonderful".
Like many other soccer experts, Blatter urged Bafana Bafana to sharpen their finishing skills, which are cause for concern.
Last Friday, German soccer icon Franz Beckenbauer said Bafana Bafana would be among the 2010 World Cup favourites if they get a deadly finisher.
Blatter said Bafana Bafana's rise from the ashes bodes well for 2010, when more than 450000 people will visit.
About other African countries benefiting from the 2010 World Cup, Blatter said discussions were at an advanced stage with various parties.
He said some of the World Cup teams will arrive early in some of the African countries where they will set up training camps.
Danny Jordaan, the organising committee's chief executive, said Mauritius had agreed to provide 3200 hotel rooms for the World Cup.
Jordaan said they were talking to other southern African countriesabout the accommodation issue.
