Sithole, 46, allegedly stabbed Thulani Ndlovu, 31, in the chest in May. He is out on R5000 bail and must report to the Brackenhurst police station in Alberton, Ekurhuleni, once a week.
Police said Sithole had gone to Ndlovu to demand R100 he said was owed to him.
But when Ndlovu told him he did not have it, police say Sithole allegedly grabbed him around the neck, took out a knife and stabbed him.
