United, Chiefs in tourney

REIGNING Absa Premiership champions SuperSport United and Kaizer Chiefs will take part in this year's Eastern Cape Premier's Cup in Port Elizabeth on Saturday.

The tournament also features Bloemfontein Celtic and Bay United.

Amakhosi get a chance to parade new players like Nkosinathi Nhleko, the burly striker from Thanda Royal Zulu, talented Zimbabwean defender Zhumu Jambo, central defender Thomas Sweswe, striker Knowledge Musona, right-back Tshifhiwa Mmboi and midfielder Mthokozisi Yende.

SuperSport will parade midfielder Siyabonga Nkosi, who signed a two-year contract from Israeli side Maccabi Netanya .

Celtic have signed midfielder Cecil Oerson from Moroka Swallows and defender Gary Goldstone from Maritzburg United.

In the opening match of the tournament, Matsatsantsa a Pitori will take on Phunya Sele Sele at 11am while Bay United will host Chiefs at 1.30pm.

The final is scheduled for 5pm.
