A MPUMALANGA multimillionaire businessman, who was arrested with his 63-year-old mother after he allegedly sold two of his vehicles in Mozambique and reported them stolen, was due to appear in the Tzaneen magistrate's court today.

Nicholas Mgiba, 34, and his mother, Virginia Mgiba, of Acornhoek near Bushbuckridge, were arrested on June 14 after Limpopo police pounced on them at their home.

She "allowed" her son to buy vehicles in her name. He "hired" friends and relatives to drive the cars to Mozambique where they were sold.

Nicholas made his millions with contracts to install water taps around Bushbuckridge.
