SELETENG Giant Killers defended the LimDev Super League softball title, with wins over Mahwelereng Spikes and Lebowakgomo Wildbeasts.

Killers beat Spikes 13-2 and Wildbeasts 6-0 on Saturday.

The matches at Seshego diamond were the last of the Limpopo Softball Association league season. They attracted big crowds, some from as far as Gauteng.

Credit should go to Killers pitcher Tshepo Mokoena, who frustrated their opponents.

In other matches Seshego Raiders beat Kalkspruit Red Scorpions 12-10, while Ga-Ledwaba Giant Elephants thrashed Mmotong Lions 16-5, and Moletlane Texas walloped Raiders 12-1.

Texas and Red Scorpions were awarded seven points each after University of Limpopo failed to make it to the matches.

Mashilo Matsetela, LSA's president, said: "We want to thank LimDev for their support and supporters for rallying behind their clubs throughout the season.

"We will also want to wish all the best to some of our players who will be participating in the World Series next month."
