A NEW World Bank report expects the South African economy to contract 1,5 percent this year and says the world will remain mired in recession this year.

The bank released its latest growth report yesterday and delivered an ominous view of the world, saying it expects the SA economy to contract 1,5 percent this year, with growth rebounding to 2,6 percent in 2010. - Reuters & I-Net Bridge
