One of the first to come on board to help the sisters is KwaZulu-Natal Premier Zweli Mkhize.
Mkhize, a doctor, said the condition referred to as the polydactyl cat deformity required a simple medical procedure.
He promised to speed up the medical process to make sure the twin girls have an operation.
Other people who offered to help were from manufacturing companies in Johannesburg, who pledged to make shoes and buy school uniforms.
Other Good Samaritans promised to raise funds for the children so that they can survive.
