EDUCATION in Limpopo is to get a revamp with a budget of R16billion.

Education MEC Namane Masemola, in his 2009/2010 budget on Friday in Lebowakgomo, announced the amount allocated to turn schools into centres of excellence.

This allows for the employment of 1418 teachers, 1096 heads of departments, 311 deputy principals and 360 principals. About 195 teachers will be trained in Braille and sign language. - Moyahabo Mabeba
