Masondo must learn from London mayor

THERE is a huge difference between the mayor of London and the mayor of Joburg and I don't just mean the African continent.

Mayor Boris Johnson recently apologised publicly for the London underground train workers strike, stating that parts of the system were still working despite the strike. Compare that with the recent Metrobus strike or, even worse, the absolute pandering of Mayor Amos Masondo and President Jacob Zuma to taxis over BRT.

Somebody please invite Johnson over to show Joburg how standing up for commuter rights is done. Or else send the transport committee to the school that Johnson went to so they can grow backbones to deal with our transport issues once and for all.
