Pele joins Cup group

GHANAIAN soccer legend and 2010 World Cup ambassador, Abedi Pele Ayew, has been roped into Fifa's technical study group for the Confederations Cup.

GHANAIAN soccer legend and 2010 World Cup ambassador, Abedi Pele Ayew, has been roped into Fifa's technical study group for the Confederations Cup.

Fifa said the work conducted by the group now involves providing analysis of the trends in the game and keeping member associations abreast of tactical innovations.

Other experts on the committee are Gerard Houillier (France), Abdel Moneim Hussein (Sudan), Rodrigo Kenton (Costa Rico), Kwok Ka Ming (Hong Kong), Holger Osieck (Germany).

Fifa's Technical Study Group boss, Jean-Paul Brigger said: "The members study the way in which the eight teams have prepared for the competition, as well as their training methods, tactics and performances."
