TEHRAN - Iran yesterday prohibited foreign media journalists from leaving their offices to cover protests on the streets of Tehran following the country's disputed presidential elections.

This came after three days of street protests against Iran's election results, during which at least seven people are reported to have been killed.

Defeated presidential candidate Mirhossein Mousavi cancelled a planned rally yesterday "to protect his supporters' lives". - Reuters
